My name is Ailsa Meldrum, I am a Person Centred Counsellor based in West Lothian and I hold sessions just a few minutes away from Livingston North Train station on the main Edinburgh to Glasgow line.
People come to counselling for many reasons–, to understand their thoughts and feelings, to look at anxiety, stress or depression; Some people come to deal with the loss of a loved one; some would like support to make important life decisions and choices.
Whatever your reasons for considering counselling, know that as a Person Centred Counsellor I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I will travel alongside you, I will listen to you, I will support you and I will never judge you.
It can be a difficult decision to begin counselling, yet every journey begins with a single step, it takes courage to look into yourself, understand yourself and see where you would like to make changes. Believe in yourself and take that first step with me.
I will provide a safe, comfortable space where we can explore your thoughts and feelings in an atmosphere of mutual trust and confidentiality and together we will explore the possibilities for change.
If you feel this is the right time for you to come to counselling, please get in touch with me by phone, email or message me through the facebook page and we can discuss when is a suitable time for us to meet for an initial session where we can discuss what you would like to get out of coming to counselling.
I believe counselling should be available to everyone so I am offering a limited number of sessions on a Tuesday afternoon at a reduced rate for Students, low incomes and people on benefits.
