Let’s face it, losing your voice is an inconvenience, frustrating and can have a detrimental affect on your ability to communicate, especially if your job relies on you being able to speak or sing clearly.
Why Do You Lose Your Voice?
Things like poor breath support, vocal technique and posture can all lead to laryngeal tension, which can lead to you losing your voice. And, whilst vocal exercises can help alleviate and restore the voice, persistent -and sudden – vocal loss due to laryngeal tension, often requires a therapeutic approach. This is where manual manipulation comes in.
As a Certified Vocal Massage Therapist and Vocal Coach, I use manual laryngeal techniques and vocal exercises, to help reduce and eliminate tension in the laryngeal muscles, allowing for the normal movement and vibration of the vocal folds. Normal movement and vibration of your vocal folds means improved tone and resonance, easier vocal projection and better overall clarity of your voice.
