At the age of 54, yoga became a part of my daily life while I worked and travelled in India in 2002. Daily practice since then has made me stronger, more resilient, healthier and happier, even through the varied challenges life brings.
In 2011-2012 I completed my 200 hrs yoga teacher training in the Integral Yoga tradition and remained a student of yoga ever since. On graduating from Yoga teacher training I was given the name Dharani.
Dharani means supporter or earth goddess. The name is appropriate not least because my outlook on life and yoga is firmly rooted to the earth, the soil, annual cycle of the seasons and nature and I would like to help others on their life journey.
Over the years, I have taught over 3000 hours in yoga studios, leisure centres, schools, workplaces, hired venues and private spaces.
I’ve continued to learn from other teachers, traditions and lineages of yoga including Yin with Sarah Powers and Vinyasa with Jason Crandell.
