Life’s not always easy, we all go through difficult periods and times when we want more from life than feels currently available. Sometimes we feel the need to talk to someone neutral, someone who’s not enmeshed in our lives, who can listen with fresh ears and give us space to unfold and work out what we need, so we can go forward feeling a greater sense of clarity and hope.
The type of psychotherapy I practice and am training in is Integrative Yoga Psychotherapy, combining the physical practices, the grounding, the regulating tools and the self-awareness that yoga brings with the safe space of therapy, the fresh listening ear and the time to unfold and gain insight. This is a combination that can hold you, help you to feel safe enough to shine a light into dark corners, release old wounds and enable you to find understanding, healing and hope.
This type of psychotherapy is about the whole person. As well as listening and creating space, I can offer you techniques for regulating your emotions and your nervous system, postures to help you feel stronger and more relaxed, breathing practices to help with confidence, digestion and sleep and exercises to help you feel more compassion and friendliness towards yourself. All areas of well-being can be looked at and addressed.
